    Default hand made mug/scuttle questions

Ok - here is a weird question. I am just getting back into making functional pottery on the wheel and have started to make myself several mugs or small containers for shaving. I have not settled down if I will use soap or some of the various creams.

If you were to have your "dream" mug/scuttle what would be the most important features for you? In a way I am lucky that I can try different things to get my mug the way I want, but if I could get some feedback prior to making then I could try different features and see what works best for me.

I've discovered that a bowl works best when its about 5" in diameter, like those available from Sara Bonnyman. Also, the concentric ridges around the bottom catch a little water and help in building the lather.
