    Default Question about Damaskeen blades

This is garage sale season and while visiting several I came across a gent with several old, but decent Gem razors in a box and one had an inscription that said to use damaskeen blades. I've done some searching here and seen several photos of identicle razors but very little info on damaskeen blades themselves. Are damaskeen blades similar to today's S/E blade, and if not, how different are they. Can modern S/E blades like Pella's, Treet or Gem's be used in a razor designed for damaskeen? thanks.

Go ahead and use any SE shaving blade you can find. The Damaskeene blades had a little heavier spine, like all the older SE blades did, but there is no problem using modern ones.
