...in 23" frame because it's the only thing that fits my tall, fat ass.![]()
I'm riding a different bicycle now. I bought it from my next door neighbor. He bought it and rode it only a few times. It is a NOS model. It has only one derauller. It's five speeds and has hand brakes. It has 2.125 inch tires and a chain guard and a wide seat. It is green so I call it the green hornet.
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord!

And the frame has cracked, after 10 years of a large guy riding it everyday. Have just placed an order for a Masi CX Uno, which I hope I am worthy of. First drop-handle bike, first bike closer to $1000 than $500. Not a lot of choices, as larger frame sizes are hard to find in Japan. But have been told by bikes-types that it's a darn good choice.
I think you’ll find it’s a bit more complicated than that...
May I ask where the frame ended up cracking? It's worth noting that Giant warranties their frames for life. So long as you're the original purchaser, you can get a new frame to put those parts onto. It won't likely be the same year, but they'd get you another Sedona frame.

I'm riding my 2000 Litespeed Ultimate, still with 9-speed Dura-Ace. Everything's gone carbon, but I love my Ti. Very stiff but a great ride.
The 9-speed is still going strong, but...ooh, I'm getting a hankering for putting on a new 10-speed gruppo. I may have to do that for spring!
This my GT Peace 29're mountain bike, which I am slowly morphing into a commuter since I don't live anywhere near the bush any more.
This week I took the 29're nobbly tires off and put on some roadies. Mudguard, brooks saddle, swapped the rear cog to a smaller 13T, (and had to take the chain guard off, and put the wider chain I had on my fixie on there, the rear cog I had ordered was too fat for the original chain. Hence the colour "accent". )
Next I'm thinking I'll replace the bars for some chopped and flopped road bars, and switch out the peddles for BMX bear cages. Later this week, if time allows. Then a rack, I'm not sure if the disk breaks will allow me to braise anything on, so I might just have to go with one of those clamp to the seat post jobbies.

the crack is in the seat-tube right above where it joins the top tube..... I'm the original purchaser, but it was in the US, and I'm now in Japan...and I'm ready for a better bike. And I wouldn't know where to find the receipt...but I will look through the files and give it a thought. But I'd assume I'd need to do it in the states and ship the frame back there, way too much hassle and cost. Thanks for the tip!

Wow, this thread lit up quickly! I suppose I'll add mine as well.
This is my commuter bike, which has easily been seeing the most use lately. I started out just commuting when it was 'nice' and since my definition of nice has expanded to include just about any time it's not raining outside. It's my first single speed and I love the simplicity when just going place to place.
I've also got this Trek 2.1. I bought it over the summer, my first road bike. I fell in love nearly instantly and whereas I rode 50 miles on my mountain bike the month before I got this Trek, I put 500 miles on it during the first month. I was really looking forward to taking it off the trainer and out for a ride this weekend but unfortunately the weather was quite cold and super windy.

Right now, '79 Ciocc with a mix of components (70s record derailleurs, athena crank, brakes, shift levers, ultegra hubs) on a trainer. I have a brand spanking new Scott CR1 with 105 that I am anxious to get on the road
It is great to see some fellow cyclistas on B&B! I ride a Moots Vamoots.
Just posted these in another thread. I'll take them down there.
Port and starboard side shots of '94 Fat Chance Yo! Eddy, Somerville-made in Aquamarine Fade. Purchased new at Maxim Cycles, Denver, CO.
Moved back to KC from Littleton, CO in '04, so it doesn't get the same kind of use it once did, although I did take it to the Black Hills on a trip with my son last summer, and we're planning a trip to Utah. It's been ridden more and much harder than it looks. I'm afraid it wears its years better than I do mine. I've never been tempted even a little to replace it with another, but I did buy a back-up '92 Yo! (bottom) that came up for sale on the Fatcogs site last summer. Plan is to fit it out to serve as an urban bomber and leave the '94 as it is.
Nothing like those 80s color schemes, eh?
