Today was the first day I decided to shave ATG with my merkur 39C bpole, and it is without a doubt the best shave yet. I've been using a mergress and I've gotten closer with it, but today with the 39C it was the closest and least irratating shave with a DE I've had yet.

I lathered up with T&H cream and the 39C actually felt like it was sucking on my skin as I stroked; which I have not felt with the mergress. I'm guessing either my technique is better with the 39C, or I need to up the setting on my mergress and see if I can duplicate this.

Does anybody else get that sticky, sucking feeling like the razor is glued to your face when you shave?
