What is your favorite shave setup?
I'm new-ish to wetshaving- found my way to it by having a beard made of steel cables that grows in 8 directions coupled with somewhat sensitive skin.
When I'm home, I currently use a progress, men-u premiere synthetic brush (i'm a vegetarian and it seemed like a cool option but i'm sure i'll cave for a nice badger eventually) and alternate between QED lavender and Taylor Avocado followed by Sharp's Toner, BS Code Blue and Baxter's Oil Free.
When i'm in a hurry or traveling, i shave in the shower with a bump fighter and Brave Soldier Shower Shave or Jack Black. the shave is much quicker but unfun, not close and doesn't compare. But at least little to no irritation.
What are your hobbies and favorite activities?
I used to play the rock music. I'd like to again, or just regenerate creativity in some medium. I appreciate well made and specialty products. I have a (1 of 350) Travis Bean single coil guitar and a less rare Travis Bean bass. I enjoy wine, coffee, bourbon and more recently, good tea. I like Spanish film directors, ie Almodovar and Bigas Luna, but also dig Ridley Scott, Kubrick and others. I am an avid hockey fan but follow nothing besides the NHL, even though my town's team isn't so hot right now. I enjoy the options and diversity of the city I live in. Sociology has always been a curiousity of mine. My music tastes are esoteric, eclectic and ironic. Video games are a nostalgic vice for me.
What else should the members of B&B know about you?
I've worked in a recording studio, a brokerage firm, for Apple Computer, and am now self-employed in the furniture industry. Being someone that shops the little guy and am fairly political about it, through my working life, I've found myself in some of the most greed-driven, cutthroat industries, and I think it's really helped me establish some perspective. Still lots to learn. Notably about shaving and shaving products. That's why I'm here. Also for the pretty pictures people post.
