Wonderful! One of the nicest ducks I have seen!

This is the first razor that I'd seen that I actually wouldn't use!

Mint? No its not mint however its in very good shape probably almost near mint. It should be a great shaver.

I hope it is a great shaver. It wont be my everyday but more like my weekend ride haha. Does anyone know a good way to keep that gold plating good?

Very nice. I really want a gold edge or a reaper some time soon. I recently found a special no.1 in an antique shop for 6$ and I honed it into a very nice shaver.

The gold is one of those things that is more cosmetic and very fleeting. There is no way to really maintain it other than to either never use the razor or if you do never use an abrasive no matter how mild and tape the spine when honing. Even then it will wear that's why most gold on razors is worn off over time.

Dang. I plan on using the razor but not as my everyday. Hopefully the gold will last another 30 years or so.

That is one thing I will say about my Goldedge. It doesnt' take much time on a hone to get it where it needs to be.

So if the one you just bought ever has seen a hone, it probably didn't spend enough time on it to become friends.

    Enjoy!
