Personna blades

Blades that have Personna written on them tear my face up. The blades that don't have anything written on them work great. Anyone noticed this????

Red pack Personnas are very smooth blades. You can order them from a member John here. Not the sharpest like Feather blades, but among the one that give nice irritationless shaves.

There are many different points of manufacture for blades sold under the Personna label. The ones that everyone around here seems to prefer are the Israeli Personnas in the red, cardboard box (Red Pack Israeli Personnas, or RPIPs). They are very smooth and easy on your face. Which ones are giving you trouble?

The ones I purchase from Wal-Mart in the metal and plastic container. The good ones are in the same container, but the bad ones have Personna written on the blade.

I think I know the ones you are talking about. I got a sample pack of blades about a year ago, and it seems that there are MANY different types of blades packed in those cool containers.

The ones I prefer say Personna in blue on the front. I haven't tried the Isreali Personnas, but I would like to give them a try some time.

There was a good thread on the Personna blade subject here just a couple of days ago. The good red pack IP blades that everyone likes are only purchased on line and do not come in a container. They are individually wrapped and come in a little red cardboard box. I buy mine 100 at a time.

IIRC, the Wal Mart Personnas are not Comfort Coated (Teflon/Glydex), but are Platinum Coated only. Perhaps you should try the Walgreen or Meijer brand ASR ones to see. I think they have the comfort coating. It should be written on the back of the packaging.

What about the 100 pack in the cardboard box that say 100 double edge blades ando n the blade it says super platinum made in israel.

Did this blades only have arrows on them? Come in a white paper cover? If this is correct, then this are the barber personnas. Not that many people know them! I will post a pic later on! :).

I saw the blue label Personna in a 100/box package in a barber/beauty supply store some time ago. I believe the blue label are made in the States.

If they are the same ones you mentioned how much are you paying for them and how do you rate them?

I like that name: JAJAJA.

The blue Personna labels are not that great, I am not sure where they are made. But I can tell you that they do give a bad irritation on my skin. They are rough even for a one shave! They should be cheaper than any other personna.
