Default 7 am Platinum Hi Stainless Blades

I am new to DE shaving and have tried a lot of blades- Feather, Derby, Persona, Astra, Wilson Sword and Merkur. I found all blades to be good except for the Merkurs. I found a person selling 7am blades on ebay in lots of 100. Does anyone know if these blades are good? Thinking about buying them to try.

I bought a smaller lot than that to try them out. They were 'average' to me. Usable for 2 decent shaves. Nothing spectacular. Others have commented on blade consistency issues.

Hillary Flammond: It's a German name. It means 'she whose bosoms defy gravity'.
Nick Rivers: I'm pleased to meet you. My name's Nick.
Hillary Flammond: Nick? What does that mean?
Nick Rivers: Oh, nothing. My dad thought of it while he was shaving.

These are just plain awful... I got ten with my razor when I first got it. Not good at all. They also tended to rust quite a bit. I'll tell you what... I think I still have a packet of 5 that I'll never use... if you PM me your address, I'll mail them to you to try... I'd hate to see you order 100 of an iffy blade.

You might like them after all you know.
At least I rate them higher than any of the Dorco's and the Derby's. Which doesn't say much since D & D are definitely not my favourites.
Like someone stated before an average blade; but it could be just your kind of average. (and yes I do think you are a bit stupid to order 100 blades you didn't try out before, the last time I made such a smart move it was just 75 blades. )
I must to the barber's, monsieur, for methinks I am marvellous hairy about the face

They are "meh" blades for myself. I rate them about the same as Dorco ST-300s. They work just not as comfortable as a Derby or Red Pack.

If you look on Amazon you usually can get a good deal on Derbys in 100 packs. I think I scored some for not more that $12 shipped once.

I find them to be a serviceable blade. For me they are sharp enough and smooth enough for 2/3 shaves with no real problems. Try them, they just might work well for you.
    Good shave.....only 4 stitches
