Thumbs up Tried Something New with Irisch Moos !

l bought a stick of Irisch Moos here at B/S/T and really like it alot! It is my first time using a stick and was able to obtain great lather the way I guess a stick is supposed to be used.

Last night I tried something different. I took my small travel Pure Badger brush, soaked it, then shook it a coulple of times and started to swirl it on top of the stick of Irisch Moos. I then actually started to load my brush with the amount of soap I would use if it had been milled in a container of some sort.

Using this method allowed me to see how much soap was actually being loaded into the brush. It is like starting to swirl the top of the stick with my brush and then using the Irisch Moos stick like a deodorant stick on the brush after it is moistened.

Took the brush to my lathering bowl and produced large amounts of excellent lather! The benifit to this for me would be to keep the stick the way it is, it is so convienient for travel, and be able to lather in a bowl if I choose to.

Sometimes I do something that is perhaps the inverse of that. I'll take a puck of soap, pull it out of its container, and rub it on my face.

    Bear,

Thanks for the tip...hadn't thought of this but there is no reason this shouldn't work! I'm a big fan of the Moos, but using a shave stick 5-6 times a week, plus face lathering, plus shaving is a bit too much exfoliation for this guy's face! You just gave me a way to enjoy the Moos w/o rubbing it all over my stubble!

    Thanks again!

Why not, using it the way you describe is just like using any other soap. Personally I like sticks because I can apply them directly to my face with no need to load the brush. I really like sticks for travel.
