Auto strop age?

Trying to find date my autostrop razor was made.
I read where they were ALL marked with VALET starting in 1920.
I also read where they were ser.# only on the earliest ones.
Here's what I got - Patened april 9 1912 (Valet Auto Strop) silver plated .
So with the Valet marking , I thought it was made after 1920.
But it also has a ser.# on the blade release lever which were only used on the early ones???.
The # is 446008
Anyone have any info on these?
Did they use the Valet markings on some razors before 1920 ?

that one we basically just call a 1912 BUT i think they first ads for yours were in 1921 or 1922. the earliest/earlier auto strops said either auto strop or auto strop razor. the word valet may have been used earlier than 1920 on the british models though.

So did the word 'Valet' not appear on the boxes or blades or anything till 1920? nahhh
