    Last I heard, A-rod has slithered back to his ex and Madonna is furious. If he doesn't have his strength sapped by one, it'll be the other; he'll be lucky to eke out a single through the hole.

    i'm curious as to what a-rod as done wrong?

    cheated on his wife? bill cliton (several dozen times)
    steroids? barry bonds
    lied to ESPN/katie curic? i didn't know this was a crime

    i'm a mets fan but i think people like to pick on a-rod because he's such an easy target.

    and honestly i like baseball, you know where they let the pitchers bat, like men!

    People pick on A-Rod because he is the most childish, immature, condescending, arrogant player in the game. He acts like a buffoon on and off the field at every turn. But that's not why they really hate him. They hate him because he is the most talented player in years, possibly ever and his still acts the way he does.

    Compare him to someone like Derek Jeter, they are both star Yankee players, the most hated team in the country (outside of NYC), Jeter has earned people's respect, he will be remembered as a Legend, while A-Rod, a more talented player will be remembered as an A-something. It's sad he's done this to himself, because regardless of what records he breaks and how amazing his stats are he will still be remembered for his jackass attitude and his bush league antics.

    i agree with that. but have you ever heard of ty cobb? also we should remember that the person who's writing the a-rod books also wrote stories about the duke lacrosse team and the stripper. well it turns out that she was horribly wrong.

    anyway i think the sox will be #1 at the end of the season. i just worry about their staff cause dice-k is out and only pitches well the bases are loaded. penny's coming off surgery. smoltz still isn't ready. bucholz pitched a no hitter but got shelled in every other game he pitched.
