Penhaligon's BB AS Balm shelf life?

I had just acquired a tube of Penhaligon's BB AS Balm from my SWMBO's grandfather the other week. He used it once and hasn't used it in 2 years. Still good? I have never smelled Penhaligon's BB or that fact any scent from Penhaligon's so I have nothing to compare the scent too. It does smell some what floral but with base notes of cedar or some other type of wood. Also would I be doing my skin any harm if I used it, being that its several years old.

It's probably fine, actually. That description of the scent sounds pretty much on for BB. If it HAS gone over, it won't do any harm to your face to try it out. If you're really worried, try it on a sensitive but hidden part of your skin, like the inside of your bicep.
