    Default eBay Impulse Buying

Sometimes it's good to go with an impulse buy....and stimulate the economy as well.

And help out those poor, poor credit card companies

    It's like Christmas morning....

Also, a Shapton 30,000 grit is in this lot.

All one lot on eBay...hopefully a good deal. ($1400 USD).

I was eventually going to get a Zowada anyways....at least that is what I tell myself.

Now, I just got too fiqure out how to use it all....

    Default My first DE acquisitions

    Monday:
A V3 Superspeed, and some included samples, from stussy80m

    Wednesday:
A Y3 Superspeed, and some awesome samples, purchased from FlatFork. The small sample containers are C&E Sweet Almond Oil cream and TOBS Mr Taylor cream. Unfortunately a sample of T&H West Indian Limes cologne was sacrificed to the shave gods by the post office. Man did the package smell good though!

Tomorrow will be my first DE shave. I can't wait. In fact, I may shower and shave tonight!

Hopefully some new blades still to come this week.

    Chris

A few central Texas antique shop finds.

Cool story: went to the Austin antique mall and found the SS for $6. Drove out to Bastrop, walked into a store and asked the lady if she had any old Gillette razors. She said she had two "old gold ones". She pulls out the Aristocrat and the Sheriton. So I ask how much. She says $3 each. We drive out to Smithville and believe it or not, I find an Aristocrat case for $5!!!! So I spent $8 and got a cased Aristocrat and only spent $17 for the day.

I got a few things in the mail today. First off, a B&B Essential brush from rgjr. I love the handle. I also got a tube of GFT Violet and, an Arko shave stick, a few different kinds of blades, and some other samples from a trade off BST.

I would put up a picture, but I lost my phone yesterday.

I found an interesting razor on the bay. vague description, one single blurry picture. I had a hunch it was something I wanted so I bid low. it went almost uncontested and I won the item at $8. It arrived yesterday and as I suspected, it was a cased TV Special!!! Some scrubbing bubbles brough it back to Excellent condition. I have overpaid on a number of items on the bay, but a win like this makes it worth while sometimes...

Thought I'd share my other ad. My score of the year came today. Got an incredible deal on them, too. Now, I just need to have them matted on acid free linen, then famed and matted under UV protective glass.

A little bit of browning on the bottom of the London, but Chicago has a couple of very serious poster dealers who will be able to restore and mat it. My deal on this was the equivalent of finding a toggle in case, with instructions and original unopened blade box but with a slight bit of brassing on one of the doors for $5. (I paid more than $5, but this is worth more than a toggle.)

Neat. You going to shave with it and post a thread on the razor? The design looks interesting.
