Great photos. I enjoy photography but at the moment don't have a good camera.

I get the itch to get into photography pretty regularly. I want to get a Pentax K1000 and really learn the old school way first.

This stuff is all pretty ancient by now, shot with a digital P&S. I just got a new DSLR which I'm itching to get some mileage out of asap.
Nice photos all.
In the late 70's, I worked as an engineer for a company called Vivitar. In the 80's I was part owner of a one hour photo place. I've used 35mm to 4X5. Now I just play with a Canon SD550

I do pictures (both moving and still) for a living. I work in an advertising studio. I'd list the equipment I use, but don't want to make anyone to jealous. We got a brand new full package of Canon lens and 2 bodies a year and a half ago. Now I have almost everything I need, however if we had any money left, I have a couple lens I still wouldn't mind geting![]()
I'm absolutely amazed. Every photo is posted is brilliant! Cheers to all! Excellent! Matt, maybe you should just drop out of school and be a photographer, those are as good as anything I've seen. At first when you said you, "had an eye for it" I figured it was BS but not after seeing those it was a huge understandment.
Everyone's photo's are awesome! Maybe we should have a new area, Photo of the Day, where members can post photos they've taken (tasteful of course). I would be a great way to show off all the talent here.

hehe, thanks for the awesome compliments. I worked a couple years as a graphic designer, picking up how to use a plethora of programs on the fly. BTW, graphic design and photography aren't the most well paid jobs and don't have the longest lifespan (like 5-6 years on average for graphic design) and as much as I love it... i'd still be able to do work as an electrical engineer and take pictures on the side.
I agree, the video and picture forum is too shaving/tutorial related for me to post any non-shaving related pictures. Then again, this isn't a photography forum and I wouldn't want to detract from the reason we're all here.

Totally cool. May I have permission to reprint a couple? Not for commercial use, but private of course.

I'm impressed!!!
What a great collection of photographs?, I enjoyed 'Gazing' at every one of them.
Thanks for the great 'Show' by our talented photographers.

I've been into photography for a few years now. i used to work for Canon and fell in love with the EOS 20d. However, the money isn't around to buy one right now, so i use a small 4 megapixel Canon PowerShot S410 ELPH. It definitely doesn't have the aperture of the Nikon dSLR shots you guys took, but these at least are decent.

I have a great old 35 mm film camera (Nikon FA, two AI-s lenses, motor drive, etc), but I never use it anymore. Its a shame.
I have a digital Nikon Coolpix 4500 that is about 3 or 4 years old. I don't use it much anymore, either.

The only thing that comes close to my "photography" hobby is that about 10 years ago I had my own dark room with all the bells and whistles to develop my own black and white photos. The dark room was installed in the backyard and as soon as I had some spare time I would get in there for complete days until I had the results I wanted. I had enough spare time for that during my college days.
These days I'm way too busy with work and other personal obligations that this hobby has come to a halt, although I personally consider it as a "pauze". As mentioned in another thread I'm looking to buy a decent high quality camera to take up my hobby again although it will be digital instead of analog photography.
Here some pictures...
camera was a Canon Powershot S50:

Tom, beautiful pictures. I just realized you're not too from where I spent most of my trip to Germany. My host family lived in Bielefeld.
