Default Never seen one of these....

Just picked this one up from a local antique store and have no idea what I've got. When I got it the entire razor was tarnished just like silver and I used "Never Dull" polish on it and got what you see here. The base of the handle is marked:

'Aristocrat" and below that it says CAN PAT MAP .7.05
On top of the comb it has the numbers AC148?47

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to what this is?

Also found the "Made in England" Gillette Ball End and was curious about it:

I should mention that the open-comb razor has no markings on the underside of the head.

#2 looks like a British Tech. Nice mild shaver; good for a noob or someone with a light beard.

1914 Gillette Aristocrat, huh? Pretty cool. Could it be silver plated? Has a tiny crack at the top of the handle barrel, but doesn't come out or wiggle. Was $10 fair?

$10 for that razor in that condition is a steal. I recently acquired one. It's a little light for my tastes, but shaves quite nicely.

    Enjoy,

Thanks for the offer, but D.Irving79 already told me I had to hang on to it !

Anybody have a guess as to the value of this (it's not for sale). Just curious.

Also, what would it be plated in?
