    Default Styptic: Stick or Liquid?

I've been using a solid styptic stick for years now with satisfactory results, but I've been wondering about the liquid styptic, I've used it before but it was over 10 years ago and I just can't remember. I wondered what you all recommended?

    Stick or Liquid?

    Thanks all.

I tried a liquid "roll on" thing called "My Nik is Sealed" a few years ago -- it is still sitting in my medicine cabinet largely unused. Stings like the dickens, leaves behind a very dark scab, and has an annoying smell. I've stuck to the basic Pinaud pencil ever since...

i've never tried the liquid, and probably won't.

my syptic pencil hardly gets any use nowadays, but its good enough to do the trick when needed.

i use sos shaving cuts made by sens of paris there like stiptc pencils but its in a match book form you use one then chuck it away, like a match be the head of it is made of some stuff that stops bleading when you dip it in water first.

a bar is more useful and lasts a very long time. You can use it like the stick to stop bleeding but even better; use it all over your face before after shave. Closes the pores and the occasional zing will most certainly wake you up!

Personally - I am a liquid fan. At least for me, stops the bleeding, seals the skin, is loaded full of vitamins (for a speedy recovery) works faster/easier, and disinfects the nick/cut. Alum just won't cut it sometimes at stoppin' a bleeder.

A good comprimise for ya might be the styptic powder which is superb as well.

Personally... I prefer to just not cut myself

Not used very often now, but I used to use the stick all the time. The liquid didn't do anything for me but sting.

I find a little squirt of lemon juice helps.

Yes, it is just a brand of styptic pencil. Here, it sells for 94 cents at Wal-Mart.

Rarely used, but I like the pencil followed up with A/S and then Neosporin. Never used the liquid, probably never will.
