What's new

does your "super" or "silvertip" brushes losing hairs too ?

or it's only the cheap "pure" badger hair brushes ?

I have pure tweezerman brush (15$) and each time I shave I find 3-4 hairs...
in this rhythm I'll find myself with badger hair(s) brush .

Most brushes loses some hair particularly when new and during the break in period, but any sign of badger pattern baldness (constant hair loss) is not approppriate

My tweezerman still ditches a hair now and then. Much less than when I started 3 months ago. I worry sometimes, too.

My $21 ebay silvertip brush initially shed hairs. The process is slowing down but still a concern.

Brush prefers admirably.

Any brush is likely to lose a hair here and there. Usually not something to be too concerned off. If you see the rate of loss increasing or start to notice clumps of hair coming off, then you've got a sign of the a knot setting giving out.

A hair or two here and there, I don't give much worry to.

whew I was worried too. Tonight I had my first shave with my new EJ BBB and it shed quite a few. Not in large chunks at one time, but several during the initial lather and a few again during clean up and post bloom drying. I hope its initial and slows down.
