    Default This Could Get Expensive

Just back from "lunch", actually, dealing with Rasage Poulin on some supplies.

I am now fully stocked (for now, gads, so many supplies, so little cupboard space) and want to publicly thank Rasage, Leighton and all the members who saw fit to contribute their help, on fora and in PM.

Thanks, everyone. What a great site.

    John

That's the proverbial crock, my friend, and is simply not true. ADs are all good, but they are not mandatory.

New guys and others can choose to have ADs, or they can choose to be MINs and have MIDs

    Peace

It doesn't have to be expensive. Extras are not mandatory or inevitable. Lot's of us only have only one setup or two, and are satisfied with them and them only. Other guys like to collect, and it is fun for them. Whatever floats your boat.

    Long live MIDs

Resistance is easy for many of us MIDs.

I happen to like seeing my money (what little I have left) go towards other stuff. But that is just me, whatever floats your boat

Go to the WIKI and check out MIN and MID.

Many of us are in those camps. I happen to shave on about 20 bucks a year, for instance.

It's all well and good to choose to "suffer" (more like enjoy) from ADs, but many of us don't make that choice.

AD people get more airtime and B&B press simply because they are on this site more, but us MIDs are here, too.

Hey .... I thought you exercised a pretty good measure of self control while you were here. I didn't need a second shopping bag for your haul!

I hope the stuff works out well for you and that the cat never figures out how to open the shave soap!

it could get expensive but it is cheaper than other things, things that are bad for you.

Oh, you will, you will . . . I figure next, I'll man up and try the rose soap and a shaving stick for the next work road trip and, ah dang . . .

Heh, he grabbed the loaded brush and dug into it, then spent about twenty minutes spitting and looking offended.

That Provence soap is un &%$%$ worldly stuff. I can't believe the difference. Still too scared to try the DE, though.

And, you know, guys, for all the hookle I read on the various threads about the Shavettes, well, the one I got works just fine, moves well, controls well, and easily as sharp as the straight (and yes, I do know how to edge a straight). I could recommend these to anyone without hesitation now.

Let's see . . .if I dig that spare lumber out of the garage, I could easily build another cupboard in the bathroom, somewhere . . .

    Sigh

Excellent point. ADs are not mandatory. Nor is shaving for that matter! All that is mandatory in life is that you die...the rest is your choice

    Shave well...if you choose to!

Most members seem to end up spending a lot of money. If you get something you don't like, you can always sell or trade it.
