    Smile Shaving & Vanity

I don't consider my self vain in anyway, but I have noticed that since I've begun DE shaving, I catch my self actually admiring my shaves in the mirror/rubbing my face through out the day. I find it kind of amusing Does any one else notice they do that? Just wondering if I wasn't the only one...

I don't gaze longingly in the mirror, but I do rub my face often and smile a little when I feel that BBS jaw.

I find myself rubbing my face a lot, especially on a good BBS day. I don't check myself out in the mirror though.

I've started using a brush a later but I have yet to get my Merkur HD, and I've already noticed the same thing, I'm touching my face a lot more often now. Even my girlfriend has noticed a big difference in my face/skin. I haven't started staring into my reflection yet but maybe once I get my HD I will

The irony of you having a Johnny Bravo avatar when you said that is not lost on me.

Faceturbation is perfectly acceptable outside of the home and lets others know that you are a man that pays attention to his grooming. At least that's what I tell myself while rubbing my face during the day.

I'm guilty of some faceturbation. If you get caught "doing it" just respond: "Yeah, I got a tooth ache."

I find myself rubbing my face on the street as I walk to work.
I think to myself "damn what a smooth job"

I have noticed an improvement overall in my skin health and appearance (I wasn't a mess beforehand or anything), but my skin is clear, smooth, and toned, and both wife and I am pleased with the results...sometimes I just like feeling it, lol...

I guess the faceturbation is just something that comes with the hobby

I find myself checking the mirrors at work (I sell outdoor clothing, we have a lot of mirrors at the store) i bit too often when I have had a shave that resulted in irritation (sensitive skin = happens a lot). My boss has actually made fun of me a few times about it

About the vanity part; I am not good enough looking to be vain

    Regards.

Faceturbation is a natural part of the human BBS condition. There are many names for it:
chin-strappin, face-boning, jaw jerkin', fingering-the-follicle, skin-skating, the two-lip two-step, the Van der Hagen waltz, the glycerin glide, rapin-the-nape, etc, etc. (feel free to add your own).

Just remember, too much can cause blindness (so I've been told). Good luck and 'keep on strokin'.

And if it makes your palms hairy, you'll have something else to shave to a BBS finish ... BONUS!

Of course it's dark, it's a suicide note.
