This shaving soap/oil is truly remarkable. I've been using it the last week and I've put away the cream and brush. It takes a little getting used to as it does not lather, but it provides as close and smooth a shave as I've ever had.

Hmmmm....Im not sure this post is Kosher.
gee..it's a miracle, and on his first post, too!
Nullus anxietas
Hmmmm... the website talks a bit about the ingredients list in the FAQ section, but no definitive list of ingredients seem to be available.
I doubt I'll even try it as a shave oil, but it reads like it would be a pretty good face wash (similar to Nancy Boy) or pre-shave prep in the shower.
Thanks for the link! Anyone want to volunteer to be the guinea pig?![]()

Granny,
What specific products are you comparing it to?
Can you provide a list of ingredients?
You say you are not an owner or employee, do you have a connection to this company in any way?
Im not a moderator here but I would suspect that the post is from a promoter.
Not an owner, employee, distributor or promoter. I heard about the stuff a couple of weeks ago on askandyaboutclothes.com and thought it would be worth a shot at $7. You can see the strings on their Grooming board. I've been using a Simpson's Chubby 3 brush and a variety of soaps/creams for about 20 years.
I don't know the ingredients but then again I couldn't tell you the ingredients of the Trumpers, Taylors, Kiehls or any other of the stuff I've used in the past. This just works great.
Found it-

Hmmmmmmmm....................
I remember my first post. After lurking for a while, I was convinced that I didn't know enough about shaving to act like I could teach my baby boy anything... It's pretty ballsy to toss out a gem like this on the first post.
Of course, now I'm a bit more opinionated![]()
Eh, call me a pessimist, but thats ok since in real life I'm paid to be, but I still smell promotion.
Im a member of AAAC...I checked out the thread and most prior users of the product, touting it, are low total posters with locations in Minnesota...near to the poster who appears to be the business owner. AAAC allows much more commercial and promotional activity than does B and B as well.
If I am wrong and insulting I apologize and I have no comment about the product, it could be wonderful...I'm just falling back on my watch dog training is all.
Here's the other thing... I enjoy using my brushes too much to even consider using anything that didn't involve working up a good lather. Imagine having to explain that my SBAD was all for naught.![]()
Sorry for the intrusion fellas. I really hate to see all this angst when I found a product I really liked. You can take it or leave it, but I don't have a dog in this fight. But I gotta tell ya, if someone has to hang around a board for some indeterminate length of time before having the audacity to recommend a product, get a life. I don't feel like I need to wax on on the benefits of Trumper vs. Taylor vs. Truefitt before giving a heads up on Old Post Road.
WhadI say...whadi say?
It isn't an intrusion, Granny. But surely you can understand why the Troll detector starting beeping. 4 total posts, the first one touting a new product, and the other 3 either trying to convince us that you aren't affiliated with the company and telling us to get a life.
We don't have a life, or we wouldn't be on here all the time.![]()
