The first is 13/16 roundish, square, french point...

Scales are rosewood with a bone wedge

The second is a 7/8 Spanish point with double thumb notches.
The scales an tan G10 with a red tru-stone wedge.

Here's my new JA Henckels Vacuum that I found yesterday. Kind of a weird name for a straight razor but whatever, I only spent about 10 minutes on the buffer on it. It cleaned up really nice. I even buffed the bone scales to a very nice shine. The before pics are here.

I bougt this one few days ago. Originally scales was bakelite ones that I really do not like so decide to replace them with natural MOP laminated ones:

I have had a couple of these "Sum Extre" razors, and they are great shavers. This one is actualy marked "Sam Extra", but I'm not complaining....I luvz me some worked backs!

Beech lined black and gold origami scales.

CPM 154 stainless steel.
Here one I finished up a short while back
8/8 CPM154 with thumb notch. The scales are stabilized Amboyna Burl wood with a red G10 line, as well as a red acrylic wedge.
A adjustable torx fastener is used for the pivot.

The honing wasn't much different, other then I had to spend a few more minutes on a finisher.
The shave was nice and not all that much different then a normal high carbon razor.
Overall I was pleased with the grindability of the steel and the shave it provided.

Any idea what the HRC is on the cpm154? Looks awesome, now if you can get that full hollow grinder of your running...............

No idea really as it wasn't tested. If I had to ballpark it, I would guess it around 57-60. She had no problem taking a very sharp edge and there wasn't any edge deterioration that could be seen. Think of it as a SS vintage Sheffield...lol

The grinder is running, now it's just about getting consistent results..

We had one guy at work slather the stuff up to his elbows everyday. Not being the sharpest tool in the shed, he apparently didn't rinse it off well enough and developed horrifying rashes above the wrists.

Here is a rescale of a personal razor I did recently. It is a French "Lotus" full hollow and is a heck of a shaver. I put it in blue stabilized maple burl with an orange G10 wedge.

This is a 31/32-8/8 Custom Non-Folder I finished up recently. Steel is 1095 and razor is a 1/4 hollow grind. Spanish point with an interrupted notch. Spine work and a pretty good grip for stropping and shaving. It is acid etched to bring out the hamon line from hardening with clay and has a nice satin finish throughout.
