Thread: Clubman Talc

Guys, maybe a stupid question. What is Clubman Talc used for? Where does it go on the body? After a shave? Also, I keep hearing people say that Clubman Talc is actually harmful to your health, cuz' talcum powder is a carcinogen. Cancer causing. Is this true?

Talc only causes problems for people who breathe it in large amounts for years.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. FDA says its safe :)

I put some on my neck so the shirt collar doesn't irritate my skin.

Clubman Talc powder, like regular baby powders, is used as an astringent to protect against irritation, etc. The FDA has determined that the processed talc that is used in cosmetics does not contain the particular carcinogenic elements as certain other sorts of talc.

Hey man, what is with you posting a double thread in two different places for each subject you make? This is like, the third thread you've posted today that has a doppelganger in another section of the forum. Once is more than enough.

I use it as foot deodorant after a shower.

Help me to understand what the problem is. Here's a new member who has only made 12 posts and already you are ripping on him. This is very much out of the ordinary for B&B. If you were joking it would be nice to use a smiley or something. If not, an apology would be nice.
    Relax...Take it easy...Enjoy the lather.

In the barbershop we would put it on the neck duster brush to brush the cut hairs off a customer's neck so they would not itch. (and it smells GREAT!)

Ok, help me understand why it would be ok to start a post in the aftershave section titled "What is Clubman talc used for", then a half hour later go back and start the same exact thread in the skin care section. Repeat three times. Eight of those twelve posts were the same posts, just doubled.

Thanks to the mod that merged all the threads.
