    Default 7 am platinum

    Are these blades any good? What is a good price on them? I haven't heard much about them here, so I had my doubts.

    I'm not sure which color package these are so,

    based on my own usage,

    yellow= wonderful

    green = good

    I haven't used the black pack, but they don't seem to get a lotta love around here.

    But, blades are very YMMV, so give them a try and see what you think for yourself.

    These colors are for the 7 O'clock blades, not the 7 am.(very confusing)

    Ooops. You're right. Too early in the morning!

    I started with 7 AMs (yes, the green pack) and found them very inconsistent. I revisited them after about six months, still inconsistent.

    For me there's too much variation in quality, even within the packs, for them to be worth it.

    i've been using the 7am blades for the past month or so now. i've had no problems with them. very smooth. the first shave kinda sucks but the next 3 are awesome. i would say they are just as good as the wilkinson swords i use.

    IMO the 7a.m.'s are just a mediocre blade that does its job but I didn't find any pleasure in shaving with those. In the same price range there are lots of choices and many are nicer to use.
    But, especially with blades , YMMV. So why don't you get yourself a sampler pack (including the 7a.m.'s if you want) and try some out before you finally decide on a blade?

    All I can add is that I like the Red Pack Israelis. They are cheap on the bay. Even with shipping, they are just over a dime each. And they last easy 3-4 shaves, which for me is a week. And these are all the blades I use and ever have. I must have got lucky as I use them in all my razors and they work in all. I get good shaves from all razors with this one blade. Of course I can't leave well enough alone, I am getting a West Coast sampler pack. What ever happened to if it ain't broke, don't fix it?

    Never used the 7 AM's . I can give a big shout out for the 7:00 Yellow pack's. Very nice sharp, smooth blades. Some folks compare them to the Gillette Swedes. IMHO they are not as good as the Sweeds (nothing is) but they are VEY competitively priced based on their performance.

    Exactly what I experienced with them.

    In a 5 pack: Great shaves, OK shaves, awful shaves, awful shaves, binned

    I got 10 of these blades free when I bought my first razor. I used them twice and decided there must be something better out there. Compared to Astra and Derby blades, these are like dragging a brick across your face.

    i must have gotten a good couple of blades because the ones i've used have been fine. definately way better then the merkurs or any blade you can pick up with a wal-mart CVS or walgreens logo on it.

    The 7a.m. blades don't work too bad after you cork them. I can get five comfortable shaves out of a blade. They don't shave as close as a feather though.
