That looks to be a nice set. You'll have to share some pics when you get it

jr, I'm not sure if you are referring to the conversation we had via PMs, but I use Gem blades because they are locally available to me and because they work just fine. Would I use another brand of SE blade? Of coarse. I'm just not going to order any because I get BBS shaves from the locally bought Gems.

And in tribute to our resident bard, mk-ultra, I thought about trying my Micromatic tomorrow a.m. (and writing a poem about it).

I agree with what has been said . . . 1930 or so British set. Just wanted to note that the empty space between the razor and the stropper originally held a folded strop.

Very nice set Jerry. Now you can be on the lookout for a proper strop.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Here you go. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=67833

It was advertised as a "Streamline" model.

If there's a better made razor out there, I'd like to know about it.

Actually, under the head, right under the place where you put your thumb to flip up the head, it says "British Made".

Ahah , Id been watching that set , did wonder if it was one of us that picked it up.

Oddly enough , ive seen a couple similar come up in the last 2 weeks in differing states of repair - all went for roughly the same price as well.

    Nice looking Art Deco set.

Thanks, Jon. I saw at least one during the last 2 weeks. It was complete with the strop. I thought (make that hoped) that this one would go for less since it is incomplete. My wife reset my max bid or I would not have it! So I think that I may keep her.
    Kind regards,
    Jerry
