Thread: Russian DE

    Default Russian DE

A while back I remember seeing surplus, Russian, DE razors for sale by an E-Bay seller. I've searched the forums and can't find the post that had a link. Does anyone know if these are still available and where to buy them?

They were solid stainless steel I think.

If it was the Lux, it is a Polish made Soviet era DE. I very much enjoy mine. See ebay item # 130242446238

The same seller has another Polish DE, the Wizamet junior. I would like to try one of those myself.

I suspect you are talking about the Lux as well. I really like mine. Along with cockroaches I suspect the LUX may be the only other thing to survive an nuclear war. They are still out there. I did a search of the Bay and didn't see any, but I do see them from time to time.

Since I've purchased from this ebay seller several times in the past, I've notice something about ebay. Since he is registered in Poland, if you get to his store via ebay.pl, there are more items listed than through ebay.com. However, if you put the item number in through your local ebay, it will show up and you wont have to try to complete the sale in Polish. Much easier for those of us who don't know Polish.

    +1 on the Lux.

I have one , its built like a T72. Shave isnt the greatest but its more than passable.
Inexpensive as well , made it a bit of a must have for me.

Last look he still had them on sale.

That's the one. Now if I can figure out how to convert the currency on the page.

I use xe.com if I'm looking it up. Ebay should convert it to your local currency for you. Mine shows:

    26.00 PLN (approximately US $7.38)

and the shipping I just converted is about US $2.80

The seller ships very cheaply and sends it registered, so you have to sign for it. He will also combine shipping, so it's a great deal to get some blades or cream or soap at the same time.

For some reason Safari wouldn't show the converted price. I switched to Firefox and it shows the correct price. I'm looking at this guys stuff.

If you look in the classifieds at The Shave Den you'll see a member there currently has a Lux for sale also.
