Pre-2005 Shavemac vs. Current Shavemac

I have heard that they are different. Joel seems to be pretty vocal about this.

How different are they? Why did Shavemac change?

The type of Badger hair available changes. This same type of scenario happens with all brush manufacturers.

I would definitely love to try a "vintage" Shavemac, don't really see them on the B/S/T though
