Not a bad deal. You could make that your travel DE. Have you tried those Lord blades yet?

Just completed a shave with the Lord razor and the chromium blade that came in the blister pack.Much better than I expected. The razor is very comparable to a heavy handled tech in aggressivness although much lighter. The supplied blade was smooth and forgiving.Much like a green Russian 7'O Clock. 3 passes and a little touching up produced a really comfortable irritation free shave.I would highly recommend this combo to a newbie wet shaver or anyone wishing to try a good, currently made and value for money d/e. Cheers Phil.

Glad to hear. I might have to pick one of these up for grins.

When you think the tech-type Lord is good you might want to try their Merkur-like model. Unbelievable for the buck !!

I've found the Lord Platinum blades to be pretty smooth; certainly good value.

I just picked up the same Lord Tech pictured above about two weeks ago. I am very happy with it. It's a fairly gentle shaver, and quite well made. A newbie (or anyone who likes 3 piece Tech style razors) would get many fine shaves out of it.

However, the newer style model with the Merkur like head is awesome!! It is a superb shaver, and shaves like a dream. Not just at it's price point either. It is simply put a wonderful razor, that will give you years of great service.

Unfortunately, the newer style razor with the Merkur like head doesn't appear to be available in the US currently (Shoebox Shave Shop had the Lord Smart, which is the same Merkur like head, but on a plastic handle, but it is out of stock: Lord Smart @ ShoeboxShaveShop)

By the way, in order to differentiate the Lord Tech, from the newer style Lord Tech with the Merkur like head, I call the newer style the "Lord Merkur Tech.

Just a quick update for everyone, The Lord Smart is back in stock @ Shoeboxshaveshop. This is the same razor as the LP1822 with the Merkur like head, but with a plastic handle:

Buy Lord Smart @ Shoe Box Shave Shop
