    Default FS: Citizen Eco Drive BM6400-51E Mil Watch

    Update: GONE
    --------------------------

    FS: Citizen Eco Drive BM6400-51E Mil Watch

    Worn very, very little. In good condition, no damage that would not happen within a day of putting any watch on your wrist, the usual swirls and micro scratches. Less than a year old.

    This charges in sunlight, or ambient room lighting, and does not use any batteries. The internal capacitor lasts 10-20 years, and I have never had one problem with the time being wrong or having a low charge.

    I have the extra links, so if you tell me what size your wrist measures around, I'm happy to size it for you before shipping. EXCELLENT lume.

    Features:

    * Model BM6400-51E
    * Stainless steel case and bracelet.
    * Black dial with white hands and markers.
    * Luminous hands and markers.
    * Precise Eco-Drive movement - Charges in Sunlight or Indoors, never need to change the battery.
    * 180 Day Power Reserve.
    * Low Charge Indicator and Time Reset Advisory.
    * Water Resistant to 200m.
    * Screw-down crown.
    * Date.
    * Fold-over Push-button deployment clasp.
    * Hardened mineral Crystal with anti-glare coating for Superior Scratch Resistance.
    * Case measures 41mm diameter by 11mm thick.
    * Retail price 250.00 USD

    If it was the chrono model, I would be all over that.

    How long do the numbers and hands stay illuminated?

    Good question. First, let me say that it's a ton brighter than my poor photo shows. Second, I'll do some timed tests and photos, hang tight.

    I let the lume charge up in the window (indirect sunlight, i.e., the sun was not shining right at the watch) for 5 minutes, and then put the watch in a dark room. My camera is really poor with these low light photos, or I'm just a really poor low-light photographer since I do not know much about the settings :)

    So, here's my report, sans photos:

    0 min - lume shines like a flashlight
    10 min - still very very bright
    20 min - still darn bright
    30 min - it's faded a bit
    40 min - it's faded to the point that you can see it clearly if your eyes are dark-adjusted, it's a bit fuzzy with light-adjusted eyes
    50 min - still clear with dark-adjusted eyes
    60 min - still clear with dark-adjusted eyes
    70 min - same
    90 min - same
    100 min - same
    110 min - same
    120 min - same

    So, at this point I'm ending the test and making a reply. The lume lasts at least 2 hours on a 5 min charge, but it very likely lasts longer. Probably also goes longer if you let it charge longer than 5 minutes.

    Hope this helps.

    I like the less busy watches. I think the illumination pics look ok. If I had the funds, this watch would have already been paid for.
