Default Crossover between B&B and TSD

Is there much crossover between TheShaveDen and Badger & Blade? I took a look at TSD today and saw some of the same names and some posts very similar to posts I've read here on B&B.

What's the history of the development of the two sites? Is there a reason that a person might choose one over the other, if they had time to monitor only one forum?

It's all about preference in the end. Some people like to hang out on both forums (or all three) and some like to hang out on one or the other. If you can't decide, participate in both for a while and see which works better for you.

Me, I'm already in so many places it's gotten to the point that I only stick to one place per topic.

I participate in all 3 major shave forums. B&B has the highest frequency of postings, which I like.

RBC, do you have 18000 posts spread across three sites...?

I don't know which three forums you guys mean. I frequent all four: B&B, TSD, SMF, and SRP.

I am a member and poster of both but my personality switches depending what drug I am missing at the time.
    YMMV? I don't think so.

I think the number is probably closer to 10,000 spread over about a dozen. Last I checked I'm a member of 30-40 forums, but some I just signed up so I could subscribe to a few threads, so I don't count the ones I lurk in. It's gotten to the point that if I end up on a site that interests me I try logging in under a few names in case I registered there before.

The reason you see the same exact posts at all three places is because some guys just don't know when to quit. I don't know why, but it irks me to no end to see a Has anyone tried XXX cologne? thread worded exactly the same, by the same person, spread across three different websites. That's what I call a forum whore.

If you have a legitimate question about a certain product, wait a couple of days before you repost it at the other forum. I hate giving a lengthy description and then popping over to TSD and seeing somebody else just gave you the same lengthy description I just wasted my time with. Why post the same exact thread simultaneously over three or four different website? Isn't that akin to spamming, or do you really need that much attention?

oh, and I also technically belong to TSD, but I don't post there. I joined just to access their store.
(their soaps are really really nice. (thanks burnwood))

The only way to get a detailed answer is to post this question across four different forums.

Thanks for the informative thread. I have lurked at the shaving den but never joined . I found B&B seemed to have more to offer
at least in my humble opinion.

Yeah, I was being facetious and didn't think anyone would call me on it.

I guess the best way to put it is that you see four examples of birds of a feather flocking together ... different personality types congregate in different places.
Be there or be square. Only I can do both!
I've got a cat named Beefeater and a dog named Beefeater, and two goldfish called Beefeater and Beefeater. There's Beefeater my hamster and Beefeater my horse, and my piglet, known as Beefeater of course.

B&B is all I need. There is more than enough information, great advice and good guys right here. To me, there's just no need to go to the other forums.

Besides, I see enough of Limecat here. I couldn't handle any more of him anywhere else.....

In that case, let me send you a list of sites you might want to avoid...
