I have a line on some C & E Almond Oil shaving soap.
I know that C & E is not on the same levels as Tabac and Harris, but I have found Sienna to be (once) good on an availability/value basis.
Is C & E's Almond Oil soap a decent performer?
Thanks,
RJ

I think so. It produces a nice creamy lather with my Omega Boar. Check put the reviews for it.

I could never get a good lather from any C&E soap.
I've used the cream and really like it. I haven't used this soap, but I've used CE Sandalwood soap and liked it. I bought Nomad soap yesterday, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

If you buy it and don't like it, I'm sure you could sell it on the BST. I'd even be interested as I understand this has been discontinued.

I was able to acquire a puck from a local C & E store before the line was discontinued. I loved the scent and it made a nice thick lather. However, I did not find it to be very lubricating at all. In fact I had to add additional glycerin to my lather to keep from nicking myself.
The C&E sweet almond is one of my favourite soaps! Yes I agree its not as lubricating as tabac however, it gives me the most comfort during the shave where I get no razor burn or nics. It is also by far the most nourishing for my skin. On top of performance, it has such a wonderful scent that is suitable all year around.

I find it to be a very decent performer. As mentioned above, it's not on the same level as some of the more popular triple milled soaps like Tabac, Harris, etc. Like the SAO cream, I think this soap is a standout compared to others in the range such Sienna, Sandalwood, and Nomad.
