funny how the camera can make things look sometimes. BTW, that's a nice looking Bismarck. I know this is OT but if you want to sell it, let me know via PM

So it's finally confirmed. I have no life! Sad, really, but I find comfort in thinking that there's a lot worse things you can spend time doing than going through every single page of "Post your shave dens!" 153 so far.
It stole quite a few hours of my life but I wouldn't care to claim it back as there is an amazing number of great dens out there. You guys from the big 'ol USandA are pretty blessed with having such a vast number
of stores to get your stuff. Then again, I'd be out of cash in 24hrs or less if I had the same AD and lived over there, so maybe it's ME who's blessed :) Oh man! Suddenly I've given myself a new way of looking at it! I'll put that on the "thank you B&B"-account as well! Ain't this site a treat? O'yes.
I've finally made myself a shelf for my shaving stuff. my room mate uses the other half so i only have my muhle and badger brush my brother (eyesofgrey) made me. but here it is!

After a year and change I'm posting my fledgling den. I might have a Myrsol problem.

Nice stuff! I have been dying to try some Myrsol.

Well to be honest i actually repurposed an old shelf from a thrift shop, so i wouldn't mind if you made one yourself:). I cut out a heart design that was in the top right and sanded the whole thing down. then i used three coats of nikwax Pine colored stain. it's actually quite a bit darker than this photo makes it look but you get the idea.
This is my slightly 'less' humble Shave Den
Above the wood shelf is a bar towel I got from the Royal Wessex Pub on a trip to Somerset, England years ago (and fell in love with Badger First Gold Ale), that I thought would look nice because it states “Established 1777, BADGER, Dorset Ales with Real Character”.
On the wood shelf (from left to right) is my Em’s Place Inc. Blade Bank, alcohol in a spray bottle (for razor sterilization), a pipe glass jar (inside is a wine cork [for ‘corking’ blades], tweezers, Shark Super Chrome Blades, VDH Deluxe Shave Soap and Clubman Dab-on Nick Relief), Acrylic 2 razor (Merkur 23C & 38C), - 2 Brush (restored Ever-Ready’s 200T Finest Badger [right] and F40 Horsehair [left], brushes), razor & brush stand (made by Shane Silcox; owner of ‘Cutting Edge Razors’), in 'clear' color with engraving ("CBJ” and “A Great Lather is Half the Shave"), and finally my small (4oz), vintage Pinaud ‘glass' bottle filled with Clubman Citrus Musk.
NOTE: Under the shelf and attached (drill holes into handles, screw in flat end of toilet screws into handles, then screw handles into shelf), are 3 old brushes just for decoration.
Below the shelf is my Razor Blade Wrapper Frame (got the idea from member 'jk3campbell'), and extra wrappers from members 'delisle' and 'Red Ketchup' (thanx guys...).
In the below image, on the sink to the left is my Robert Becker Scuttle (medium size with Lid and Wine Cork Stopper), 'Cactus Sand' Scuttle, Muehle® Chrome Travel Brush & Razor Holder, Sears & Roebuck Ceramic Shaving mug and my 'own' Sterling Silver Baby Cup (that I use a traveling shaving mug), my Mother finally gave me (as my family Keepsake), many...many 'moons' ago, that is engraved with my full name & birth date plus these quotes;
"To Smoke is Human...To Smoke Cigars is Divine" & "A Great Lather is Half the Shave"

Hi guys,
now I finished all 153 pages of this thread and I have to say, I am amazed. Not only by the amount of razors, brushes, soaps, creams and aftershaves some gathered, but mostly by the amount of creativity displayed here. DIY shelves and stands creative ways to solve storage limitations.
Great and really inspiring. I am looking forward to see more dens.
Since mine just contains a '62 Super Speed, a red plastic bowl, an Omega 48 boar (well, a brush made from it to be precise) and a bit of Aqua Velva, there is not much to show. And I have no intention to upgrade my den until I am able to get a half way descent shave in 9/10 times. And that might still take a couple of days.
Have a great weekend,
Erik
