Default What's the stiffest badger brush?

I'm currently using a Rooney 3/1, which works very well indeed with soaps, but I wouldn't mind a brush that was even stiffer. What's the stiffest badger brush available? I've had my eyes on Simpson brushes like the Chubby #1, or Duke 1. How do they compare to the Rooney I have?

    Best regards.

Chubby 1 is a good choice. If you really want stiff, try a boar brush by Omega.

Mühle's pure badger brushes are also pretty stiff.

Perhaps a Rooney Heritage? I have a medium sized stubby that is very dense and very stiff. The tips are otherwise similar to the rooney super badger. It is a fantastic brush. I have no experience with Simpson brushes... ...Yet!

I do like the stiffness of boar brushes, but not the way they (don't) hold water. The lather I get from my Men-U boar is of a distinctly lower quality than the lather I get using a badger brush. Perhaps I'm not using the right technique.

My stiffest brushes are a Rooney 1/1 Finest, Rooney Heritage Beehive small, and Rooney Heritage Emillion. All three are stiffer than my Rooney 3/1 Super. The knots on 1/1 and Beehive are a little smaller than a 3/1. The Emillion knot is about the same size but is denser so maybe size could help you decide what to get.

BTW, I have several Simpsons including 2 bands and none of them are as stiff as my Rooneys.
