Default Passing of an MMA legend...

No he's not a fighter (at least not professionally) but he is a name that is as well known to MMA fans as Rush, Rampage, The Spider, The Natural...

    Mask has passed.

It's a sad day for MMA fans.

Accident pics (no bodies) are unbelievable.

It is very sad. That whole Tapout crew went from selling T-Shirts out of the back of their cars while MMA was just one notch above cockfighting to having a multimillion dollar company with close ties to mulitple fighters and fight leagues. It's a sad thing indeed. RIP Mask.

Theirs really was an impressive story. It's sad to see anyone go especially like this.

On a side not and not an effort to to hijack my own thread I just thought I'd say nice avatar Corey. Red Son was a great storyline.

    Wow. The pictures are incredible.

Thanks for bringing this up. I wouldn't have known until the next UFC or possible a Sherdog newsletter.

He was certainly a legend and his company has done so much for MMA as a whole.

Wow, I used to watch their reality show before my cable company took VS away from us. I always thought he was a little over the top, but he certainly gave a lot to the sport that we all love...Very sad, my condolences go out to the entire MMA community.

That is literally half a car. Horrendous crash.

Just think of the life this guy could have enjoyed.

This is the second high speed Ferrari crash I've seen where the car essentially breaks in half and it seems, at least from photos, that the driver's compartment is not intact. I guess I would expect the opposite from such a car.

Thinking this might be due to the fact that the engine is in the middle and when forces start to act on that mass bad things happen. Just another reason I'll never buy a ferrari, that and being broke

My understanding is that the engine half of the car breaks away so that its mass is not acting on the passenger area. Anyway, when you crash at extremely high speeds, there isn't much other than an ejection seat that'll give you a chance at survival, no matter what you're in.

Very sad indeed. If there were any good news out of this it would be that his girlfriend survived the crash.

I thought she was in stable condition?

She is, and from what I've read the worst part of it for her was a broken elbow. Sounds like they expect her to come out of it just fine.
