    Default Ahem..........How does one use a . . . . .

Shaving stick? Some makers have tubs, creams, etc. A few have sticks...so how do you use them? Wet your brush and whip it up or wet you face and apply a light coat?

Wet your beard, rub the stick thoroughly on your face over your beard. Swirl a reasonably well shaken brush on your face to start the lather. You''ll need to add a few drops of water at a time to the brush until you get the lather you are looking for.
    Cheers, Dave

    Outstanding!

I presume that a stick has a much shorter life than my standard tub of Proraso.
(Those green tubs have a life of their own--nearly outlive me. )

I take my shave stick, and a cheese grater, and I grate the shave stick into dust, then pack it into a bowl and use it as a regular soap.

I'd rather only feel soft sudsy badger against my face than the cold cylinder of shave soap.

    How 'bout that?
