Just got my Bull Mastiff today. It's now the best looking razor I own. It looks right at home in the company of my English Bulldogs.

Couldn't decide, so I got both knob versions, knurled and fluted. Both are gorgeous.

    Thanks Bob!

    Regards,
    Chuck

Got the Amboya wood knob for my progress today. Boy does it look beautiful. I can't wait for my bull mastiff to come in.

I think I'm going to be able to fill the demand for replated NEW heads.
But the cost has been high, I've had to fend off snipers and pay more then in the past.
The cost for NEW heads is going up from $20 to $25 and I'm only going to provide them to clients who purchase my custom handle.
Sorry for the inconvenience but I'm really in the custom razor and brush business not the replating business.
I spend too much time chasing down and refurbishing these heads as it is and it take time away from the work I like.

If you mean a Merkur Classic 3 piece razor the answer is yes.

Today was my second shave with the Bull Mastiff NEW. It has perfect balance, heft, and a wonderful grip. That's in addition to being flat-out beautiful.

I suspect all my other razors will now take up permanent residence on my shelf.

    Regards,
    Chuck

I'm curious what the fluted knob looks like on the mastiff once replated. The knurled knob looks amazing.

The one on the bottom is my favorite so far. Is that burl wood?

    Yes, that's Amboyna burl.
I make these small knobs from the cut off from the razor handles.
I drill, tap and epoxy a piece of #10-32 SS threaded rod into the blank, then mount thread the blank on a 1/2 brass mandrel, then chuck k it in the lathe and shape and finish it.

My Bull Mastiff (BullGoose model) arrived this afternoon and looks beautiful. The attached photo does not begin to show just how stunning the razor is. You do great work Bob!
