    Default Proraso/Bigelow and Dry Lips

I have used a tube of C.O.Bigelow Shave cream over this past week. My lips have become painfully dry. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions of an alternative cream? Since it is my only cream I will try to pre-treat with lip wax and see if that helps.
    Thanks

Hmmm, that's strange. I haven't had any problems with C.O. Bigelow/Proraso at all, but maybe you're having some kind of reaction from it.

the menthol is probably drying your skin out. just use some chapstick afer.

I just got my first tube of C.O. Bigelow Proraso from B&BW and shaved with it for the first time tonight. I love the clean smell and latherability. I attribute some of this to technique improvements, but it was a major part of my best str8 shave to date. I got a near BBS shave, and no nicks or cuts. I am very pleased. Having said that, I'll put up with having to wear a lip balm if necessary to keep these great results.

Having said that, I don't think it is the Proraso that is drying your lips out JMO.

I try to make sure none gets on my lips for that very reason, but if you use carmex after you shave you lips wont dry out.

Past 2 shaves used Berts Bees chap stick before shaving. That prevented the sting from starting. Last week was using it after the shave was done and it still stung all day. Just need to add the stick till the Proraso is gone.
    Thanks

I have the same issue with AOS lemon cream. I just put on chapstick before and after.
