    I don't think you need to worry about your razor being magnetized or not. One of my great shaving razors has a magnetic blade (feels kinds cool when honing it on the DMTEE). I have also had/honed others that have also taken a great edge.

    Really? My blade got magnetized and using the D8E drove me NUTS. I got a 15 dollar demagnetizer on the bay though which solved the problem.

    If I had been able to suffer through setting the bevel on the D8E though, the rest of the journey would have been smooth sailing. I magnetized a blade that went on my Norton and C12k and there were no suprises during honing. It also kept a nice keen edge during daily use for a month.

    Cool, I think just in case I will buy a demagnetizer.

    All you need is an old busted (or just plain old) hard drive and your set for at least 2 earth magnets.
