C'mon guys admit it...sometimes in the morning (Usually a Monday) you pull out the biggest, softest, FLOPPIEST brush you own and some cream and just go to town!
No 3/1 for me today![]()

"La plus belle ruse du diable est de vous persuader qu'il n'existe pas."
Yeah ... they feel great .. I just don't know how to use them effectively on the face!
I break out my 10+ year old Vulfix 377 on occasion.![]()

I use a Vulfix 2235 when I travel, mostly with a shaving stick & face lathering. I can get the job done, I can even lather soaps with this brush.
I do prefer my B&B LE 2008, Chubby 1 or short loft Shavemac for working with soaps or face lathering. I bring the Vulfix when I travel as it is my least expensive brush so I won't feel as bad if lost or stolen.
Cheers, Dave
Floppy is such a subjective term it is hard to know what it really means. Of course that is the case for so many terms used in our hobby that I always suggest every shaver find what works for them and take advice with a grain of salt. That said a Vulifx 2236 which many here would call floppy is a brush I really enjoy.
De gustibus non est disputandum
Floppy to one person may be luxuriously soft to another. Floppines does get a bad rap, esspecially with brushes that are other wise good quality. Part of the fun of this whole experience with me is trying different brushes and finding out what I like.

" I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean "bad"?"
Yes Big and soft like a BK8 , with a luxurious cream like Musgo.
that's for me the best combination for a sensual shaving without any effort .
The BK4 is a medium sized brush and the BK8 is a large brush. The BK12...is a monster.

I recently bought a used CE Super Badger and it seems to be the epitome of floppy. And I thought Vulfix was the floppy one. Still getting used to soap lathering with it. Tomorrow will be my first attempt with cream.
I think I will succumb to the enablers and order the Shavemac D01.
My other badger brushes are Col. Conk Full Volume Pure Badger (#1016), CE BBB, and Col. Conk Pure Badger Travel Brush (#2190). None of these is floppy.
