What constitutes a heavy beard?

The reason I ask is I don't really know the definition...is it density, courseness of hair or rapidity of growth? I would consider mine a medium but fairly heavy around the chin and lip area and lighter everywhere else? So what am I? Is there a resident dermotologist on the forum somewhere?

it must weigh at least 10lbs :w00t:

imho it would be the combination of the three factors you listed. maybe rate each on a scale of 1 to 5? I'm no dermatologist...

That's the trouble with Americans and medicine. They want a specialist to diagnose a simple problem. If after three passes with a new feather, you've still got stubble, either your technique sucks or you have a heavy beard. Either improve the technique or live with it. PHD, MD

If you have to start from across the room and get a run at your first WTG pass....you might have a heavy beard. (insert Jeff Foxworthy voice):001_smile
