    Default AS Splash AND Balm

Okay guys - lately I have been obssessed with lime and citrus scents...
for the last 2 months I have been using Booster's Iced lime right after my cold water splash when I finish shaving, then let my face get hit with cool air from outside the bedroom (really wakes up the iced lime!). I wait a few secs, then add some Woody's post shave rescue balm (mmm lime +citrus). My face has been feeling so great with this combo, that now it feels wierd to skip either of these ingredient in my post-shave.

--> Cut to the chase - How many of you use both an AS Splash AND an AS balm?
(also which ones make a great combo??)

Thanks for the input guys, just looking to possibly try something new. (maybe SCS bay rum w/Twist instead of Woody's... or Trumper's lime skin food?)

If the splash is as mild as say D. R. Harris Pink, I like to add a little balm or milk.

I generally only do this Proraso splash and balm, and only in the winter. But if it works for you, that's what's important.

Funny, I was just about to start a thread on exactly this subject

Wife bought me some Hugo by Hugo Boss, she loves it apparently since smelling a sample as a teenager

Anyway it's an EDT so very strong and if I spray on enough to be effective as an AS it tends to be very overwhelming

So here's what I tried this morning: After shaving, put 3 small glops of Col. Conk's Almond AS Balm in my palm. Then sprayed 2 pumps of the Hugo on top, quickly rubbed it all together between my palms and then whacked it onto my face.

Lovely, the balm thinned out the EDT and made it easier to spread before it evaporated and because I used so little the scent seems just right to me (and is not making my pregnant wife vomit, which is a plus!)

So I'm onto something, more experiments with different combos of ASBs & ASs are needed!

Any body else have any combos that could be interesting?

In the winter I'll usually follow an AS splash with some Proraso ASB. I've found the combo of Speick/Proraso to be wonderful!

I've been using both most days. I want the antiseptic properties from the alcohol splash and I want the healing and moisture from the balm.

It's been pretty cold this winter (thanks Al Gore!), so I've been using both a splash and a balm.

    Default No doubt.

Aqua Velva (or pretty much any Alcohol based A/S) followed by Nivea Sensitive ASB or Woody's, maybe a Wesley & Scott.

Like the burn/tingle, and the calm afterwards.

A: Four: a tail is not a leg no matter what you call it.

I'm just a newbie, but I've really been liking Speick AS and then following with The Gentlemens Refinery Unscented ASB. Just a single pump and working it in really well. Best combo I've found so far.
