    Default Oolong tea.

My girlfriend has been a tea snob for a long time. Myself, a coffee snob, never really paid her tea much attention. Well lately I've been enjoying a lot of teas with her. My favorite is Oolong, I'm not sure why, but I love it. I'm even thinking about switching to black tea to replace coffee.

Can anybody recommend me some Oolong teas? Or can anyone tell me why Oolong is so good? Also, I'm open to any suggestions. I like anything with a full body and great taste.

Scott of Ynnan Sourcing LLC may be the grand poobah of pu'er, but this guy has some great oolongs-

I prefer Alishans and lighter roasted Tieguanyins, but oolong offers an impressive array of teas.

Teamasters.blogspot.com is my favourite place for Taiwanese wulong - they're really very, very good - but not inexpensive. The top Dayuling leaves are just out of this world (literally, 2600m above sea level).

I have some TGY and some Red Robe. The TGY is my favorite but the Red Robe has great flavors going on too.

Oolong is good because it is fermented and aged to a degree. Same reason why 18 yr old scotch is much better, in my opinion, than JD. Nothing wrong with JD btw. I just like single malt scotch better.

For Tiekwanyin oolongs, I would recommend Yunnan Sourcing at ebay. The regular ones are great and the premium ones are awesome! I liked the tiekwanyins there a lot but not so much for the other oolong offerings there.

Get some Tie Guan Yin, wherever you get it from. GET SOME.

That about sums up my preferences and views - I really like oolongs and always have a few types on hand.

I very much love jinxhuan oolong, the famous milk oolong. I heard that it is flavoured but it is creamy and coconutty! I love it.

It is quite nice but I am not too much into oolong. I buy it from a local store about 150g for $6. It is a real cheap low-end one but I enjoy the flavour. For the oolong lovers, this tea might be equivalent of jasmine/rose/chamomile puerh for us, the puerh enthusiasts.

They have pretty good values. You really get what you pay for here, and sometimes more. Their "everyday" Shui Xian and Milan Dancong are quite nice for the price (25$ per pound).

We buy Foojoy China classic oolong at a Chinese grocer down in chinatown here in Cleveland. Price is good and the tea is tasty.

I also like the Foojoy dim sum bo nay tea very much.

Big plus 1 on the Tieguanyin/Tie Guan Yin. A lovely roasted flavor. Wood Dragons are also very good.
