    Default Good morning.

Just wanted to say hello all!

New to wet shaving, my fourth shave this morning and actually looking forward to tomorrow's shave. I had no idea how a good shave can improve your whole day.

I got started after finding my granddad's Gillette Superspeed with a bunch of screws in the basement (surprizingly great condtion). With a starter kit (brush, soap, and aftershave) and some great advice from Jim I've enjoyed the closest shaves of my life.

Great site you have here, thanks for the info.

The Super Speed is a great razor to start on , and it being your Granddads is just a great bit of history to boot.

Unfortunately nothing of my own Grandfathers belongings still survive. Which is a shame , becuase im sure i remember some old DE's in thier bathroom from my youth.

Anyway - Welcome to B&B tom!

Welcome to B&B. Did Jim happen to mention anything about tallow-based soaps? Probably just in passing, right?

I see you are a submarine fan as well since your avatar is a picture of the confederate submarine The Hunley.

Welcome to B&B, Tom! You might want to drop into The Speakeasy at some point and share some pics of BBQ.
