1950s Winegartens a London jeweller's own brand watch, I bought it about 20 years ago as new old stock. It is a perennial favourite.
Here are my babies. The TAG is a birthday gift to self, and goes well with a smooth shave.

New one arrived yesterday.
Well, it finally happened. My beloved Seiko Black Monster I purchased 10 years ago as a gift to myself for a promotion at work fell onto a marble floor from 6 feet high and is dead. I cracked the back open for the first time ever last night and there is nothing moving. The counterweight is impeded. The stainless case actuall dented from the fall. I'm going to have it looked at for the possibility of a repair or new 7s26 movement, but it may be more economical to replace it.
