Hamilton railroad pocket watch today (wearing a tensor bandage from a fall).

I will try to get a picture once the camera is back in the office

I honestly don't know .. it came with the watch when I bought it. And actually, I posted in error. This is an 1877 Elgin key wind watch and runs great still. I had been wearing the 1891 model the last several days, so that's what I was thinking when I posted.

I've always been a mechanical/auto watch guy - bought sold and traded my fair share over the years and finally settled on a small handful that I rotate - a Seiko SKX175 which is just a classic and rugged design, a SAK 9G-600 auto chrono which is a terrific daily wear watch, and a gold Hamilton tank that was a graduation present from my late father.

However, I picked up one of these looking for something in between the dive watch and the auto chrono and I have had difficulty taking it off. There is a lot of convenience in putting it on every day and knowing that it will be running and that it will be accurate - and I happen to like the way it looks despite the busy appearance (not to mention use most of the features). The solar/atomic feature is so great I've added two Casio GShock beaters with the same technology for weekend/gym wear.

This is a stock photo but it is a great watch, wears small despite the case size and it is very light and comfortable.

Nice pocket watch! In my opinion, there is just something classy about a pocket watch, which wrist watches cannot reproduce.

Got the 007 fixed, all it took was a slight adjustment of some spring or other, and now it keeps perfect time! Also swapped the bracelet for a Super Oyster II one. Much more solid, and the opening mechanism is great.

I got so tired of the oversized watches of the past 30 years that I ordered an authentic military watch.

This is a better picture at the site where I bought it:

These are the particulars of it, which basically says it's a 1942 re-issue:
