Default Help needed from UK/Commonwealth Members

So I had a slow day a work today and while browsing my usual internet sites I discovered the real-time scoring tracker for the England - West Indies Test Match on the Times.

Now I'm hooked. Does anyone know how I can listen to the test on-line? BBC is only good for UK users and I couldn't find anywhere else to listen to it.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

I was going to suggest 5live but I re read your post and see you have already tried it.

Good luck anyway, hope you enjoy the match. It is snowing here so the thought of sitting in the sunshine nursing a pint and watching some cricket come the summer is quite appealing....

www.cricinfo.com used to carry live commentary on test matches - no idea if they still do though

Thanks for the link SepticTank. It does not appear to be broadcasting the match, but the 3d imaging is interesting.

You could try this one - not used it myself and not sure if you can use it over the pond.

Great link. Now I'll have to get some water, lock my door, send all calls to voice mail and call it a day.

    Good work.

    This one works too....http://www.bestoncricket.blogspot.com/

There's a book called "What is a googly?" that you may find useful as well. Available at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk

I cant listen to it atm , its all to dreadful.

England really are quite shocking at the moment. To much attention on the IPL money if you ask me..

Monty finally has his wicket. It will be interesting if the Windies can reach 350. I doubt it, but who knows.

Well , i watched the last day. Total embarrassment.

ECB's responce - 'Well at least it wasn't our lowest ever score - so i think we are fine and should carry on as normal'.

Its like a watching a fly against a window.
Same old strategy and reluctance to try anything new.

They bring in Pieterson to shake things up , then fire him when he does..

Strauss might be considered 'safe' but hes only going to tow the ECB's 'Now is not the time for change' line...

They seriously need to spend spend some time with the GB cycling team setup - learn about dedication , pride and the will to win.

I agree entirely Chacki. This innings was inexcusable. Given AP's performance today and his agressive batting in the first innings, I'm not sure if his reinstatement will steady everything for the Ashes. I'll like to see how the rest of the tour plays out.

    Maybe Fred for captain??

Apologies for following my own post, but Chacki, check out the Times article by Simon Wilde for a great description of the debacle. It leads to more questions than answers. Totally unsatisfactory performance by England.

Dont feel too bad pommes. Australia has been losing left right and center recently.

Though we're doing ok against the kiwis in the one dayer thats on atm - aust batting first. 0/127 in the 22nd over.

How do you contrive to lose 127 wickets for no score?

(Hint for non-cricket fans, Australians use a strange method of scoring where the wickets lost come before the runs scored - so really he means 127/0)

Im not sure its time for Fred again yet.
Hes not the Cricketer he was back in 2005 , and doubts still sit as to his responsibility - but then , who else do we have.

There are calls for Monty and Bell to be dropped and i agree.
Bell needs to go rediscover form , and Monty needs to go spend some time with the likes of Warne or Murali and learn to vary his trechnique. Hes a potentially great bowler but he needs more tricks.

Replace him with Rashid , The lads good and worth a try.. Then replace Bell with Shah.

mdunn - I know The Aussies are on the back foot a bit at the moment , but i dont think that is going to help us at all - come summer i think we are in for a series whitewash.

Id like to believe you - but we've a pretty inexperinced side at the moment. No real pace men like we used to, and no spinners worth their salt. Our bowling side seems to be just batsmen who have a punt at bowling every so often. Oh well. Im still looking forward to the Ashes!
