Why does my PayPal account do this echeck thing? It takes a week to clear, and it's driving me nuts to add to my wait time when I just ordered a bunch of soaps. I thought my payments used to be pretty quick. Is it some setting or preference I need to change?

There are a couple of ways to pay with paypal... one of them is the echeck which takes a few days to clear. I have never held up an order because of this tho. You can also do an instant transfer..

Hi, Most merchants/sellers I have dealt with treat an e-check just as if I mailed them a check, so I tend to completely avoid it. The added wait is unacceptable. I think you might want to check your preferences. The instant transfer from your checking account is safe (they don't get your account info) and all the sellers I have dealt with treat it just like a credit card and ship the same or next day. Just do an instant transfer from your bank account or use a credit/debit card, this will eliminate the wait.
