I've been DE shaving for about a month now and I enjoy it quite a bit. Just got in a sampler from West Coast(the WalMart blades weren't cutting it) along with a bar of Col Conk Amber, which I really like. Anyway, I just wanted to show off a little stand I made to house my razor and brush when not it use.
It's made entirely out of solid oak with three coats of polyuethane for the parts that will have the most water contact. It also has four thumbtack in the bottom to keep it out of the water.
The razor is a Q2 1961 FatBoy with a Van Der Hagen boar brush. I find the Col Conk lathers a lot better with the brush than the VDH Deluxe soap I had been using.
Next, I'm probably gonna design another one with a four prong top so I can store two brushes and razors. Anyway, just showing off some of my handiwork and hope you like it. Thanks.
