Technivorm owners question

Yes there is a difference in taste. Personally, I like the "cleaner" profile of the unbleached paper filters.

There is a tradeoff either way. The paper filters give you a clean cup with no sediment however some of the oil and essence of the coffee is lost to the paper and then there is the issue of whether the paper colors the coffee. With the gold filters this is not an issue, everything comes through including some sediment. You can make a coarser grind but then that affects the final taste and extraction of the coffee. In the end its what you prefer. try both ways.

Not true, you still get sediment with a Swiss Gold. You would have to make the grind very coarse which would impact the extraction and ultimate quality of the coffee.

Unfortunately most people tend to grind too coarse anyway. You should always go as fine as you can get away with. Thats why most people use the paper filters. Many don't care about a little sediment. Just don't drink it.
