I figured as much. I set a deadline of lunch tomorrow to either buy one from someone here, or order from Craftsman.

Assuming that you're using 0.5 paste, that's a fine approach. It works very well. Just know that you'll still have to hit your unpasted strop with a fair amount of passes before the razor is shave-ready. Many people mistakenly make too few passes on the unpasted strop then prematurely go back to the pasted strop when the razor doesn't shave well.
