    Default My first razor restoration!

This is the first razor I have restored! It took a lot more time than anticipated, but I am happy with the end result.

    Blade: George Wostenhom & Sons
Scales: Zebrawood (20 coats of CA)
    Wedge: Ambonia burl
Pins & Washers: Argentium sterling silver

My photo is not up to par with some of the amazing "glamour shots" that are common on B&B...

This is some beautiful work, Davide! I'd be glad if I only had half of your knowledge in making scales (because I've got a piece of teak lying around )

    Default Excellent!

That is a beautiful razor. The sweeping lines of the blade are perfectly balanced by the design of the scales. It was worth the effort you put into it. Excellent work.

    That's a nice one.

How did the blade look before you started?

    Thanks for all the compliments!

Here is a pic of the razor before I molested it.

If I tried to restore something like that it would end up looking like a fifth grade construction project.

I'm in awe of those who can pull it off...it looks great!
